New Demo

With this demo you can race at 3 stages, New Zealand, Australia and Monte Carlo. The stages will load off randomly at the beginning of the demo, so there is no way to choose which one. The car looks great, taking moderate damage and even becoming covered with dust. Other eyecandy is always present throughout the course, showing the attention to detail Codemasters has taken with this game. One of the things that really impressed me was how accurate the physics engine for the game is. Rather then jumping 10 feet into the air when you hit a hill, you just jump a little bit up and come down very quickly. The realism of the sounds of the motor was also very impressive. All of the attention to detail really makes the game fun to play.

The demo does not include any other cars to race against. The only thing you can race against is your own time.

Codemasters posted two 600 kb patches for the European and Italian version of Colin McRae Rally. No info on what this fixes, the web site just says simply if you're experiencing technical difficulties then download these.
