Motor Cross Madness

GAME DESCRIPTION

(Game Description from PC Gamer Online)

"Did you have fun playing MotoRacer GP? Here's another motocross stunt and racing game with impressive visuals and some good-feeling physics that you might consider adding to your racing game collection.
The motion-captured riders add an immersive element to the visuals, and 3D acceleration helps keep the frame rate smooth and seamless, even as you go flying head over heels across your handlebars.

Twenty different indoor and outdoor stadiums are presented to race in, as well a rock quarry for stunt riding and some long-distance Baja-style courses. For those into do it yourself track creation, a handy track editor will allow you to create the kind of racing course that suits you best.
Multi-player support is handled with eight player LAN games and up to four players on an Internet game. Most likely Internet gamers will match up head to head on Microsoft's Internet Gaming Zone, its free matchmaking service for Microsoft retail games.

The game will support but not require advanced PC technologies: MMX, AGP (Accelerated Graphics Support), and force-feedback through the DirectInput API. The game's 3D acceleration runs through the Direct3D API.

Motocross Madness is being developed by Rainbow Studios, who have produced two previous games -- Deadly Tides and The Hive.

Microsoft will publish the game this fall."

(Details from 3DFiles.com)

It's so real you'll taste the dirt! This wild, knobby-wheeled, dirt throwing, wheelie-popping motocross game is straight-up outrageous fun and radical excitement. Motocross Madness is a stunt driving and racing game that captures the daredevil spirit of world-class supercross racing. Motocross Madness is the first motorcycle racing game that features separate driver/bike physics models. This allows for superior gameplay (because it gives gamers more control over their racing and stunts) and the most fun you can have on two wheels! And face it, it's a LOT easier to test those bone-breaking-hot-doggin stunts with Motocross Madness rather than trying it in the real world!

Another two new tracks have been posted to the Net. Www.3Dfiles.com describe them in the following comment:

"Figure 8 is the better of the 2, designed to have a lot of air and the potential for mid air collisions. The more racers the better. These 2 tracks were one of, if not the first, user created tracks for Motocross Madness I made during the beta test."
