Io: Two years after its metamorphosis An intense activity reigns in the lifeless planet's orbit. Io was quarantined ever since the devastating mutations caused by Pod. A flotilla of military probes inspects what has now aquired the appearance of a colossal flower.

According to a non-official source, a new phase in Pod's evolution is imminent. A small reporter vessel bypasses the military shield and dives into the danger zone to go investigate. At this very moment, Pod decides to awaken. The corolla's central surface suddenly becomes unstable, unleashing a gigantic flow of particles resembling spores.
