International Rally Championship

GAME DESCRIPTION

This is a rally car game as the name suggests, similar to Network Q-RAC rally. The game features include a track editor which is quite different from normal driving games. Here are some screen shots:

• All repairs are checked to make sure you car is not too damaged and not suitable to race.

• Tracks can now be flipped or reversed for a quick change.
• Ghost mode on Time Trial.

New Version 4.80

(From www.3dfiles.com)
Version 4.80 of the IRC patch fixes all known bugs to date, and includes full support for DirectX 6 and all Voodoo chips:

Create a temporary directory on your hard drive e.g. \TEMP and download the file to it. Once downloaded, run the file ral4_80.exe then from the Win Zip Self extractor box choose UNZIP. This will start to copy the updated file to your Rally installation folder. If you have installed the software to any other directory than C:\Europress\IRC you will need to key this in before clicking on the option UNZIP.

To run the game after the patch is installed, if your Autorun function is enabled, insert the CD then from the main menu screen select Exit. Restart IRC using Start, Programs, International Rally Championship. Do not use the Play option from the Main Menu screen as this will run the old Rally exe file from the CD.

As with all Windows programs, you can interrupt the Autorun by holding down the Shift key for approximately 10 seconds on inserting the CD, then use the Start menu to run the program.

If you still experience difficulties after the patch is installed, you will find a file - LOGFILE.TXT - created in the \VAR directory of the installation on your hard drive. This is a log of your bootup sequence. If you need further technical support we will need to know the contents of this file.
