Microrevue has more info on the upcoming game from Virgin Interactive, and translated (by Operation 3DFX):
It seems that Superbikes will be the best two-wheels game on the PC. The title was inspired by the champions of the Superbikes (Official License), a great event where drivers such as Carl Foggarty and John Focinski race against each other on the most powerful bikes like Ducati, Honda, Suzuki, Kawazaki and Yamaha. The game features 12 circuits including Europe, USA, and Japan. The technical specification adds to the realism. Superbikes is a mindblowing bike simulation which offers:
Useful Information

Developper: Milestone
Release: Q2 1998
One of the Game producers sent me this info about the game:
"This game is the *only* true motorcycle simulation created for PC & PlayStation (no matter what any other publisher may be saying). We are working closely with professional World Superbike and Grand Prix riders, their teams and manufacturers to ensure that we mirror the actual SBK Superbike World Championship as authentically as possible.
Each of the 12 circuits have been recreated from precise surveys provided by the circuit authorities. The game includes the top 18 riders from the US, Australia, UK, Japan, NZ, Italy, Spain... Each can be identified from his leathers, crash-helmet designs and his bike.
The motorcycle physics model has been created from scratch over the last 18 months to ensure that this game is not just another hacked car racing game. You wheelie when a real bike wheelies, you crash when a real bike crashes, you travel at the correct speeds with the correct revs and the correct gear ratios.
When you crash, your rider parts company with the bike, tumbles, slides and then gets back to his feet, runs back to his bike, lifts it, remounts and rides away.
The game will be a cross between F1, TOCA and F1GP2 - mixing full sim with arcade. In fact the game is really two games in one as you have quick access to an arcade version which is presented differently than the simulation which also plays differently.
The game has loads of options that allow you to tweak everything from graphical detail, draw distance, number of bikes down to tyres, shock absorbers, dampers, accelerator sensitivity, brakes...
I could go on (best I don't)"
