(Game Description From Official Homepage)
Tank Racer is the racing game with a difference. Developed by the Glass
Ghost team at Simis, Tank Racer offers the player '50 tonnes of Fun' as
they blast their way around a multitude of tracks.
Viewed from a 1st and 3rd person perspective, the ultimate aim is to
win the Championship in the fastest time - if this involves blasting everything
in sight, so be it! The player has to choose from a set of twelve tanks,
find numerous power ups and allocate powerful weapons.
The PC version can be played by up to six players and is playable only with the latest 3D accelerator cards. The Playstation version has a multiplayer option (split screen) and will run in high resolution.

You'll have to watch your back, front and sides when you enter the world's wackiest race… because Tank Racer is much more than just a racing game. It places as much emphasis on its 'inter-tank' battles as it does on the racing. Blasting your opponents to smithereens and bulldozing through buildings feels almost as good as winning! And there are lots of buildings to demolish… from cosy cottages in the English countryside to wooden huts in a swampland and even a moon-based space station. But the battle doesn't stop there. As well as the different racing tracks there are also dedicated battle arenas where the aim is purely to annihilate your challenger before he annihilates you.
In single player mode choose your tank and compete against 7 computer-controlled tanks. Start at the first Bronze race and try to win the necessary points that allow you to progress through all the Bronze, Silver and Gold tracks to the ultimate accolade of Champion.
Battle mode allows you to battle it out against another player in 1 of 8 tracks. As with the other game modes, the cups play a part. The different cups effect the speed of the tanks and the power-ups.
Racing mode lets the players race against each other on 6 tracks. Up to 6 players can race against each other on a LAN or the Internet. While 2 players can compete via Modem link or DirectCable connection.
Each Tank has different abilities from the rest: Top Speed, Acceleration, Handling, Grip
